Sunny Point started in 1988 as bakeshop and fast food business along Magallanes St., Davao City which was founded by Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Chu, businessmen from Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Avalanched with persistent success, they branched out to different parts of the metropolis which leads to the construction of Sunny Point Hotel (Formerly Sunny Point Function Plaza) in Maa, Davao City. From a single proprietorship, Sunny Point was incorporated and registered in Security Exchange Commission in 2004 as Sunny Point Davao Inc.
